music: Frayser Boy feat. Mike Jones, Paul Wall - Got Dat Drink

I'm really bored. Everyone else is either done with finals and no longer in Austin, or still studying hardcore, so all I do now is World of Warcraft, Civilization 4, and eat fast food. Oh, and also cry constantly about the fact that I'm graduated and have to stop fucking around soon. Graduation pictures exist but I haven't been sent any, so pictures are dependent on that.

So I'm babysitting Alena's hedgehog for her while she's in LA. It seems like it would be easy, right? Hedgehogs are lazy and sleep like 18 hours a day, kind of like I do. And it was easy, except yesterday morning I got up and checked on him, and he wasn't in his cage. He had somehow ninja vaulted his way out of a box that is approximately 5 times his height and slippery. I looked for a couple hours but couldn't find him, so I gave up for a while. After getting back from the driving range, I noticed little trails of hedgehog poop around the apartment. This was both good and bad: good because it meant he hadn't escaped out into West Campus somehow, but bad because I have hedgehog poop everywhere.

Later in the night, Sarang notices scratching noises from inside my speakers, so I get out a flashlight and look in the openings in the back. Sure enough, there he is, huddled in the corner. Right next to more poop. Seriously, if you piled up all the poop he puts out per day, the pile would be bigger than him. I don't know how he has time to do anything else but pop them out like a poop factory. Anyway, these are big floor standing speakers with a 12" woofer at the bottom, and I'd been playing video games all day, so now in addition to being retarded and grumpy, the hedgehog is probably also deaf and traumatized. We dumped him back to his cage and barricaded the top so he can't get out. He gets very little sunlight, but hedgehogs just hide in holes all day anyway so he probably likes it.

That's the most exciting thing that's happened in a while. Monday Alena gets back and we're going to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, so maybe another entry after that.

EDIT:
Kiwi (the hedgehog), is Houdini reincarnated. Somehow he got out again after we closed a box over the top and put weights over the flaps. He is now in a taller box, and also in a bathtub, so even if he gets out of the upgraded box, the slippery slopes of the tub will foil his escape.

Also, Trans-Siberian was amazing. They did their entire Christmas Eve and Other Stories album, and then the second half of the show started off with some ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin covers, then versions of a bunch of different Beethoven and other classical songs. After that they played a song off their upcoming album, Night Tower or something like that, which was their version of Carmina Burana. It was pretty good, but I've heard so many different versions of the song that couldn't be too impressed. The guy next to us was this big, jolly like Santa Claus guy, and he was like a kid in a toy store the entire time. He was jumping up and down in his seat with the music, and kept turning to us and asking what we thought and if we liked it. His good mood was kind of infectious.

I still have Christmas shopping to do.
